GRE^? Licensing Policy

Effective September 2017

This policy describes the GRE^? materials available for licensing. No other materials beyond those described herein are available for commercial licensing.

ALL GRE MATERIALS ARE PROTECTED BY U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAWS AND MAY BE REPRODUCED ONLY UNDER LICENSE BY THE COPYRIGHT OWNER, EDUCATIONAL TESTING SERVICE (ETS), PURSUANT TO THE GRE LICENSING POLICY SET FORTH HEREIN. Permission is granted for one year or the duration of the most recent edition. All GRE materials are to be used in conjunction with licensee's own materials. All licenses are nontransferable.

1. All requests to license/reproduce ETS's copyrighted GRE materials must be submitted to http://www.hee-kwai.com/legal/permissions/ by completing either the General Permissions Request Form or the Research Permissions Request Form, depending on the nature of your intended use.

2. Materials available for licensing are as follows:

      • POWERPREP^? Online Practice Tests
      • Practice Book for the Paper-delivered GRE^? General Test, Second Edition

      At the discretion of ETS, fees for GRE materials available for licensing may be waived for academic, scholarly or research purposes. Individuals or institutions requesting permission to use GRE materials for these purposes will be asked to provide detailed information about the intended use.

      Note: There is a limit on the number of GRE questions that may be used in third-party materials. Only one-half of each GRE General Test section (Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing) or one half of a Subject Test may be used in a publication. In addition, no more than 50 percent of your publication may be ETS questions. Test questions must be used "as is" and may not be revised or adapted. Single test questions or writing topics are not available for licensing for test preparation purposes.

3. Material not available for licensing

   • Official GRE^? Quantitative Reasoning Practice Questions, Volume 1
   • Official GRE^? Verbal Reasoning Practice Questions, Volume 1
   • POWERPREP PLUS^? Online Practice Tests

   These publications are available for purchase through the ETS Store.

   The GRE Issue and Argument prompts on the GRE website and the GRE scoring keys and conversion tables are also not available for licensing.

   ETS does not grant permission to post GRE materials on third-party websites; however, we invite you to link to our website at http://www.hee-kwai.com/gre.

4. Required disclaimer(s) and credit line(s) will be provided by ETS and must be included in all third-party materials. If materials are presented in a language other than English, the credit line and disclaimer statement(s) must appear in English, as well as the country's language. Test questions and directions may not be translated.

5. "GRE," "POWERPREP" and "POWERPREP PLUS" are registered trademarks of ETS. All references to the GRE trademark made in connection with your product are subject to ETS's Guidelines for Proper Informational Use of ETS Trademarks. ETS must review the cover and/or packaging of your product in advance of its distribution to ensure that your product's references to GRE and ETS comply with the "Guidelines" provided to you. You will also be required to use the disclaimer and credit line provided by ETS.

6. Reproduction of the ETS and GRE logos is not permitted.

7. ETS reserves the right to amend this policy without notice.

TOEFL^? Licensing Policy

Effective March 2014
This policy describes the TOEFL^? test materials available for licensing. No other materials beyond those described herein are available for licensing. 

ALL TOEFL MATERIALS ARE PROTECTED BY U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAWS AND MAY BE REPRODUCED ONLY UNDER LICENSE BY THE COPYRIGHT OWNER, EDUCATIONAL TESTING SERVICE (ETS), PURSUANT TO THE TOEFL LICENSING POLICY SET FORTH HEREIN. New materials are published annually on or about July 1. For this reason, permission is granted for one year or the duration of the most recent edition. All TOEFL materials are to be used in conjunction with Licensee's own materials. All licenses are nontransferable.

In order to reproduce any of ETS's copyrighted TOEFL materials listed below, please complete the online form specifying which materials you are interested in reproducing; include your intended use of the materials, the proposed title of your course or product, and the publisher.

      • This Bulletin describes the test and contains information about registering, test center locations, practice test questions, scoring and other important information.

TOEIC^? Licensing Policy

Effective June 2017

1. All requests to license/reproduce ETS copyrighted materials must be submitted to http://www.hee-kwai.com/legal/permissions/ by completing either the General Permissions Request Form or the Research Permissions Request Form, depending on the nature of your intended use.

2. Materials available for licensing are as follows:

4. The term "TOEIC" is a registered trademark of ETS. If you use this term in connection with your materials, a pre-review of your publication cover(s) is required in advance of distribution. Any questions concerning the usage of the term "TOEIC" (e.g., title) in connection with your work should be submitted to trademarks@ets.org.
5. No promotional use may be made of the name ETS. In addition, no promotional reference can be made as to the inclusion of the actual TOEIC questions. The credit line and disclaimer statement, which is provided by ETS, must be included in the all third-party materials. If materials are presented in a language other than English, the credit line and disclaimer statement(s) must appear in English as well as the country's language. Test questions and directions may not be translated.
6. There are territory restrictions for the use and sale of TOEIC materials; exporting out of the licensed territory is strictly prohibited. Permissions are granted on a case-by-case (country-by-country) basis.
7. ETS does not grant permission to post TOEIC materials on unsecure third-party websites; however, we invite you to link to our website at www.hee-kwai.com/toeic.
8. Use of ETS trademarks in connection with internet/www addresses: ETS strictly prohibits the use of their trademarks in connection with the internet or World Wide Web domain addresses.
9. Reproduction of the ETS and/or TOEIC logo is not permitted.
10. ETS reserves the right to amend this policy without notice.
