    Professional Collaborations

Helping other publishers and test creators measure student learning fairly and effectively is a key part of our work at ETS. In our professional collaboration, we offer solutions that reflect our deep expertise in the areas of psychometric services, item development, test design and end-to-end service that provides the actionable data teachers and administrators need.

    College Board® Programs

    Admitted Class Evaluation Service (ACES)

ACES is a free online service that uses scores from College Board tests to predict how college students will perform generally and how successful they can be in specific classes.

    Advanced Placement Program® (AP®)

The Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) gives high school students an opportunity to take college-level courses and exams and earn credit, advanced placement or both for college.

    College Level Examination Program® (CLEP®)

CLEP® is the College Board's credit-by-examination program. It enables students to demonstrate college-level achievement in 34 different subject areas and receive up to two years of college credit.

Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)

ETS administers the PSAT/NMSQT test on behalf of the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation. It enables students to practice for the SAT Reasoning Tests™ and serves as the qualifying test for national merit scholarship competitions.

    SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests

The College Board's SAT Program consists of the SAT Reasoning Tests and SAT Subject Tests. The SAT Reasoning Tests are designed to measure critical reading, math and writing skills. The SAT Subject Tests are designed to measure knowledge and skills in particular subject areas.

    Secondary School Admission Test® (SSAT®)

Since 2014, ETS has worked with the Enrollment Management Association, providing item development, form assembly and strategic guidance regarding test development on the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) and the Character Skills Assessment initiative. The SSAT is a cognitive, standardized test used by admission officers at independent schools to assess the abilities of students seeking to enroll. The Character Skills Assessment is under development and will provide schools a report on the character qualities, or “noncognitive” attributes, of individual student applicants.
