    Federal Collaborations

ETS works closely with the U.S. Department of Education, providing technical expertise in psychometrics, assessment design, content development and data analysis. We focus on helping to build capacity for state educational agencies (SEAs) and local educational agencies and schools, and on measuring what students know and can do.

    Our current federal collaborations are:

    National Assessment of Educational Progress

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is the only nationally representative and continuing assessment of U.S. students' achievement in various subject areas. Since 1983, ETS has developed content, analyzed data and reported results for NAEP on behalf of the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

U.S. Department of Education: Region 3 Comprehensive Center

Through this federally funded technical assistance center, ETS helps build the capacity of State Departments of Education to implement the Every Student Succees Act (ESSA) legislation. Our service area is Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
