ETS is an education organization, so it may come as no surprise that the company places a high value on career and professional development and invests heavily in employee advancement. ETS is committed to helping all employees acquire, transfer and use the knowledge, skills and abilities they need to be successful in their jobs and at ETS.

Learning Opportunities

ETS offers extensive internal learning programs, including a new-hire onboarding program, on-the-job learning, and access to virtual learning, self-development resources, ETS Library and ETS's Toastmasters program. Employees can initiate a formal employee development process to develop in their current job and prepare for a future position. ETS's active tuition assistance program and attendance at seminars and conferences enable employees to learn outside of the office. Graduate fellowships and unpaid sabbaticals are also available.

Coaching

Leadership training, collaboration with resident experts, access to information networks and informal mentoring programs are available to help employees develop professionally. ETS has a mandatory Managers' Curriculum to improve the management skills of our front-line managers, and a Directors' Curriculum to assure that leaders receive the informational and transformational learning they need.

Career Advancement

ETS strives to provide experiences in other parts of the company to our managers and employees to broaden their knowledge, skills and abilities. Professional Organizations

Many employees belong to professional organizations related to their jobs so that they can stay on top of industry trends, network with other professionals and hone their craft. Examples include the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME).

Role-Specific Certification

Depending upon their job, many employees seek professional certifications; examples include Project Management Institute (PMI) and Six Sigma certifications.
