As the global leader in our field, we understand the importance of advancing assessment as well as shaping innovative measurement in the 21st century. At ETS, interns contribute to the field's advancement and innovation through their involvement in our programs.

Internships

The purpose of ETS's Internship Programs is to provide an entry-level portal into our organization for potential employment and to provide learning and development opportunities within ETS. Our programs provide undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience through working on a business-driven project and exposing them to the work done at ETS across our strategic business units and functional centers of excellence.

All of our internship programs offer paid 6–12 week assignments depending on the area to which you are applying. Interns are also offered opportunities to attend professional development seminars as part of their internship experience, and some programs provide housing or housing assistance if needed. Opportunities are typically posted in January.

Corporate Internship Program

Undergraduate and graduate students can explore ETS and the world of educational testing and assessment. Interns work on a business-driven project with a staff mentor in areas such as Marketing and Public Affairs, IT, Quality (Project Management), Engineering, Human Resources, Research & Development and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

Assessment Development Internship Program

Work with our assessment development team to review and create items for ETS tests, such as the TOEFL^® and TOEIC^® tests and K–12 assessments.

ELL Internship Program

Prepare test materials for TOEFL, TOEIC or K–12 English Language Learning (ELL) assessments.

Reading Management System (RMS) Internship Program

Work within the RMS to help capture constructed scoring responses for the 2.7 million students who take the Advanced Placement^® Program (AP^®) exams.
